Dan Heiman
Dan Heiman is the Global President of Cornerstone International Group, where he leads the organization’s global strategy and oversees its network of offices delivering executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide.
He joined the Kansas City office in 2006 as an equity partner, bringing a strong foundation from a Fortune 500 company to support growth and client development. Over the years, Dan has led numerous successful executive search engagements—from Director to CEO level—for clients across financial services, manufacturing, and agribusiness. His work spans key U.S. markets including Kansas City, Omaha, Des Moines, and Wichita, as well as major cities such as Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
Dan has also managed international retained searches in Canada, Russia, Dubai, China, and South Africa. In 2009, he was appointed Managing Partner and was instrumental in aligning the firm with Cornerstone International Group as its Midwest affiliate, setting the stage for the global leadership role at Cornerstone he holds today.
Corporate Experience
Heiman began his professional career serving the healthcare industry where he spent 17 years in highly specialized medical technology sales, sales management, recruiting and business development for one of the industry’s most respected high tech medical device manufacturers. Dan’s sales and business development work was recognized nationally and he was highly regarded for Neurovascular service line development by some of the top healthcare systems in the country. Heiman’s family also has banking and agri-business interests rounding out his generalist background. Dan’s business development work along with his sales / sales management and recruiting / consulting experience uniquely positions him to fully appreciate the importance of human capital to an organization preparing him well for management consulting with Michael Shirley Associates.
