Rodger Lu is a Senior Advisor at Cornerstone International Group, based in Shanghai. He is a global business leader and strategic commercial executive with three decades of experience driving significant growth and operational excellence across international markets. Rodger specializes in assisting North American and European industrial companies in establishing and expanding their presence in Asia, while also helping leading Chinese industrial and technology firms successfully enter the North American market. His expertise extends to revitalizing and scaling cross-cultural organizations, making him a valued advisor for complex market entry and growth strategies.
Background
Rodger’s distinguished career includes senior executive roles with several global industrial leaders, where he consistently delivered strong business results across diverse international markets. He previously served as Head of Samsung’s LED Business in Greater China, Head of Osram BU Light Engine for East Asia, and Managing Director of Tridonic Greater China. His extensive leadership experience also includes setting up Philips Lighting Shanghai Competency Center and leading the commercial team of Philips Luminaires in China.
Early in his career, Rodger served as Lead Engineer in the China State Laboratory and Engineer in Samsung Semiconductor, holding key engineering and project management roles that directly supported Chinese manufacturers’ global expansion. This technical foundation, combined with his subsequent executive leadership experience, gives him unique insight into both the operational and strategic challenges of industrial businesses.
