Important Notice: Protect Yourself from Recruitment Scams

We are aware of an increase in fraudulent recruitment activity in which individuals may impersonate legitimate executive search firms, recruiters, or consultants in an attempt to obtain personal information, financial information, or payment.
These scams may occur through email, text messages, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Telegram, social media, or other digital platforms. Fraudulent messages can appear convincing and may use the names, titles, logos, or other information associated with legitimate organizations and professionals.
We encourage everyone who receives recruitment-related communications to remain vigilant and take appropriate steps to verify that the person contacting them is legitimate.
How to Recognize a Potential Recruitment Scam
Be cautious if you receive:
● An unexpected message from an individual you do not recognize or cannot independently verify.
● Communication from a personal or generic email account rather than an official company email address.
● A job offer made without a meaningful interview or evaluation process.
● An opportunity promising unusually high compensation, benefits, or other terms that seem inconsistent with the position.
● Requests for sensitive personal or financial information early in the recruitment process.
● Requests to send money, purchase equipment, pay fees, transfer funds, or provide banking or credit card information.
● Messages that pressure you to respond immediately or suggest that you will lose the opportunity if you do not act quickly.
● Links or attachments that appear suspicious or direct you to unfamiliar websites.
Cornerstone International Group does not require candidates to pay a fee in order to be considered for an executive search assignment.
How to Protect Yourself
If you receive a communication that appears suspicious:
● Do not send money or provide banking, credit card, password, identification, or other sensitive personal information.
● Do not click unfamiliar links or open unexpected attachments.
● Verify the identity of the individual contacting you through an independent source.
● Confirm that email communications come from an official Cornerstone International Group or authorized member-firm domain.
● Review the Cornerstone International Group website to confirm the individual, office, or organization involved whenever possible.
● Report suspicious messages through the reporting tools available on LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email platforms, social media, or other services.
● Block the sender if you believe the communication is fraudulent.
When in Doubt, Verify the Communication
Scammers frequently attempt to create urgency or establish trust by using information that is publicly available online. The presence of a Cornerstone name, logo, consultant name, photograph, or job description does not by itself confirm that a communication is legitimate.
If you are uncertain about a message claiming to come from Cornerstone International Group or one of our member firms, do not respond to the message or provide personal information until you have independently verified its authenticity.
We encourage you to contact the appropriate Cornerstone International Group office or consultant using contact information obtained directly from our official website rather than information provided in the suspicious communication.
